Katie has a wide range of experience as a communications expert, but her strength is connecting brands and their target audiences. Everything she does comes back to building lasting connections and powerful relationships that drive clients’ business goals.
“I enjoy finding ways to build a tribe of people who are passionate, not just about a product, but about what the brand behind the product means,” she says.
Katie excels in media relations, public relations, event planning and influencer engagement. Her creative ideas have built national buzz for major product launches and positioned her clients as leaders within their industry.
In her eight years with MCG, Katie has worked for clients including Ford Motor Company, Google, PhRMA, Florida KidCare and Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. She has had a longstanding relationship with Ford and has helped launch products in markets including Atlanta, Orlando and Miami, garnering thousands of media hits in every major media market in the Southeastern United States.
Her recent work with Healogics, which operates Wound Care Centers throughout the country, positioned the client as the national leader in wound care and increased media exposure by more than 1,000 percent during Wound Care Awareness Week.
Katie joined MCG as an intern in 2009. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications, a certificate in project management and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Florida State University. In addition to her work with national brands, she is passionate about her contributions to MCG Impact, the agency’s philanthropic initiative, under which she has worked with clients including the Tallahassee Ballet.
A native of New Port Richey, Florida, Katie is a country singer and songwriter who has performed shows areas across the southeast.
