Some people roll out of bed; we think Shannon jumps. Her alarm goes off at 4 a.m. most mornings, and it’s go-time for the next 16 hours. When something has to be done quickly, and it has to be perfect, Shannon is the person for the job.
As senior director, Shannon handles some of Moore’s largest accounts including CareerSource Florida, the Florida Prepaid College Board, and the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services. Her work with Florida Prepaid has driven sales growth for three years running and has helped thousands of families save for college.
Shannon’s previous work as a Capitol reporter for the Tampa Bay Times/Miami Herald and later as deputy press secretary and speechwriter in the Executive Office of the Governor makes her Moore’s expert in media relations, legislative affairs and storytelling.
When she’s not producing great results on behalf of clients, Shannon runs her own fitness studio. She also coordinates Moore’s in-house wellness program to inspire employee health through events such as the Eat Your Greens Potluck and the annual Step Challenge. The program has played a significant role in Florida Trend naming Moore as one of the best places to work in the state for six years in a row, and has been recognized by the Centers for Disease Control as a best practice.
Shannon is known for her strength and heart. She is a single foster mom licensed to care for children under 5 years old. She also has two rescue puppies, Sir Burpee and Lady Bear, who join her in the office and have become our unofficial mascots. Colleagues wonder how Shannon does it all. “Energy builds energy,” she says. “It’s not work when it’s your passion.”
