When you treat team members like family, your focus shifts. You stop thinking of them as employees who are responsible only for meeting deadlines—and you start to think about the whole person. And you realize that true wellness springs from not just the body, but also the heart and the mind.

In 2013, we created our wellness program, a comprehensive program designed to give employees the resources—and the ability—to foster nutrition, exercise, stress relief, and general health and wellness in their daily lives.

Organized by certified One Day to Wellness Coach and national fitness leader Shannon Colavecchio, ACE, AFAA, Moore Wellness takes place in all of our offices across the country. Healthy potlucks, strength improvement challenges, team steps competitions, lunch-and-learns with health influencers such as the State Chef of Florida, lunchtime yoga, kickball games, and more.

The results of our efforts are clear—our team is strong and healthy, and employee retention, in an industry known for rapid turnover, is strikingly high.

Serving in the Community

We often say that service is in our DNA—and, indeed, giving back is a crucial part of who we are at Moore.

Our community outreach program reflects that ethos.

Team members are encouraged to help make a difference in their individual communities through volunteering, or board service, for example.

And through our corporate community outreach program, Moore Impact, our entire company occasionally shuts down to serve in our local markets.

Instead of simply going into the local community to keep kids occupied for the day, we’ll be focusing on skill transfer—teaching them, for example, how to promote causes that are important to them, or how to become more literate about the media they’re exposed to day-in and day-out.

We love our partners and serving them will always be our first priority. But we love where we live and work, too—and we feel there’s more than enough of us to go around.
