As one of the largest privately owned agencies in the nation, we’re stronger than ever and ready to forge ahead into the next 30 years with boldness steeped in a longstanding history of results. Take a walk down memory lane with us.

1993

DETERMINATION SEEDS THE START OF A LEGACY

Karen Moore founded Moore Consulting Group in 1993, after a successful career in academia. The agency started with an “aha” moment, a few connections and one determined woman.

1993

A SMALL GROUP WITH A LARGE IMPACT

Though Group was in the name, the “Group” was really just Karen. Within ten days, she had five clients and one intern to help her manage the work. Karen offered public relations services including media relations and crisis communications.

1995

GAME CHANGING WORK FROM ACROSS THE POND

In 1995, Karen provided media training to the British Olympic team.

2002

RICHARD JOINS THE TEAM AND BRINGS LEGAL EXPERTISE

In 2002, Richard Moore joined the team as CFO and General Counsel.

2005

INTEGRATED WORK IS A DIFFERENTIATOR AND DEFINES THE FUTURE

In 2005, Terrie Ard, President, spearheaded transitioning the firm from a public relations to integrated communications agency.

2009

A FOCUS ON THE TEAM WINS ACCOLADES AND DEMONSTRATES COMMITMENT

The company introduced an industry-leading Employee Wellness Program in 2009, led by Moore Director Shannon Colavecchio, designed to create a happy and healthy team. That same year, Moore was named a Florida Trend Best Place to Work for the first time.

2010

¿HABLAS ESPAÑOL?

In 2010, MCG Latino launched, and the firm began offering multicultural communications services.

2011

A NAME CHANGE AND NEW OFFICE SIGNAL SMART GROWTH

Change was on the horizon as Moore Consulting Group became Moore Communications Group in 2011. The South Florida office also opened that year, better serving client partners across the state.

2012

GROUNDBREAKING IMPACT AND NEW REACH

The agency’s dedication to giving back was formalized in 2012 through the creation of MCG Impact, a corporate social responsibility program.

2012

MOORE SECURES ITS SPOT ON INC. 5000

MCG secured a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 America’s Fastest Growing Companies list for the second time, proving momentum with client retention and employee growth.

2013

THE FUTURE IS DIGITAL – AND IT'S HERE

Recognizing the growth of digital marketing, MCG acquired White Dog Design Group and Financial Social Media, which allowed the agency to expand digital services into website development and digital marketing.

2015

TWO NEW OFFICES FOR NATIONAL PRESENCE

From the unique charm of New Orleans, Louisiana to the bold spirit of Denver, Colorado, the agency built on its nation-wide presence with the addition of two new offices.

2016

MOORE'S CEO AND FOUNDER ADDS BEST-SELLING AUTHOR TO HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Karen became a best-selling book author after publishing Behind the Red Door: Unlock Your Advocacy Influence and Success – a book leveraging her thought leadership and advocacy expertise to leaders.

2017

ELEVATING A KEY LEADER WHILE BEING RECOGNIZED FOR CONTINUED GROWTH

In 2017, MCG COO and President Terrie Ard, APR, CPRC, was named as an agency shareholder. MCG was recognized for its expansive work, being named Florida Trend Best Place to Work for eight consecutive years.

INC. MAGAZINE’S BEST PLACE TO WORK

While continuing to be named an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company for five years – a milestone achieved by fewer than a tenth of honorees – the agency became one of only 200 companies nationwide to be included in Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces.

2018

BECOMING MOORE, A SINGLE WORD THAT COMMUNICATES BOLDNESS FORGED IN A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE

The agency celebrated its 25th anniversary and officially changed its name to Moore. Moore is composed of a 45-member, multi-disciplined team with expertise across all communications channels, working across three time-zones. The change includes the creation of an all-new brand.

2019

MOORE IS RECOGNIZED FOR FAST GROWTH AND AS A BEST PLACE TO WORK.

Moore is recognized as a best place to work by Inc. Magazine and secures its 10th consecutive recognition as one of Florida Trend’s Best companies to work. Both recognitions come on the heels of being recognized for the fifth time as an Inc. 5000 America’s Fastest Growing Company, demonstrating Moore’s leadership in ensuring a strong corporate culture while accelerating business growth.

2019

A GROWING TEAM OF HAPPY, HEALTHY EMPLOYEES

As a showcase of its push toward best practices, Moore is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for its industry-leading Employee Wellness Program.

2020

KAREN LAUNCHES 2ND BOOK, INVITING READERS TO "LIVE MOORE"

“Live Moore” is a collection of 52 short personal essays on topics ranging from better business practices to book recommendations. Each entry is followed by a thought-provoking question and a space for the reader to respond.

2022

Moore Recognized as a Top 100 Agency

Moore, a globally ranked, integrated, full-service communications agency, has been named a PRNews Agency Elite Top 100. This prestigious designation highlights the most innovative and strategic firms in the business and marks a series of recent accolades praising Moore’s culture and expertise. Agencies were selected for the final 100 list by the PRNews editorial staff and selected based off the firm’s creativity, reputation, thought leadership and results. The agencies chosen are regarded as the nation’s most innovative PR and communications firms.

2022

Moore wins a webby award

Moore is awarded a Webby Award, the internet’s highest honor, by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, for our digital work with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for the Protecting Florida Together website.

2023

30th Anniversary & New Partner Announcement

Moore’s 30th anniversary is marked by the addition of seven new Partners, collectively with more than 90 years of service at the agency. The new Partners join Moore’s current Partners and each lead a specialization, positioning Moore for strategic and sustainable long-term growth.
